Varieties description
Thai black rice is an oriental variety of rice with dark-colored grains. It is a brown rice very rich in fiber and mineral salts; it is traditionally cultivated in northern Thailand. Its grains are crunchy and during cooking, they give off a characteristic flavor that recalls the hazelnuts.

Tips
Since it is a brown rice, cooking times are 35/40 minutes. It is not indicated for risotto, but it is excellent for salads with vegetables or as a side dish in fish recipes.
